Third lawsuit filed against New Birth pastor Eddie Long

A third lawsuit has been filed against New Birth Missionary Baptist Church pastor Eddie Long, claiming Long lured a former congregant into a sexual relationship in exchange for gifts and lavish trips.

Jamal Parris, a 23-year-old former church congregant now living in Colorado Springs, Colo., claims Long lured him into a relationship in his teens after his mother joined the church around 2001, according to the lawsuit filed Wednesday in State Court of DeKalb County.

Long faces two similar lawsuits filed yesterday. Anthony Flagg, 20, and Maurice Robinson, 21, in separate suits, claim Long forced the them into sexual acts in return for money, cars and trips.

The suit alleges that the sexual encounters began when both were 16 years old. The encounters began after both men were enrolled in Longfellow Youth Academy. Flagg was 16 and Robinson was 14 when they entered the Academy.

According to the website, the Longfellow Youth Academy’s vision is “training our youth to live, love and lead.”

Parris’ lawsuit seeks a jury trial and unspecified damages.

As for cancelling all of the radio interviews
i pray they do let the Bishop Eddie Long get off that easy,to have him hide behind his lawyer and followers.I guess this is one of those situations where strength in numbers come into play or maybe not God is and always will be in control that's where the real strength truly comes from followers. Everything happens for a reason this very well could be what it took for some of the followers to wakeup and do some soul searching, This is not to take away from the good deeds of Bishop Eddie Long . However if these accusations are true RIGHT NOW would be the most opportune time to teach what he preaches and face his demons head on and repent..God will forgive him,him, his true followers will understand him, me and the rest of the world would respect him.

You have got to be kidding, You have a lot of nerves to be attacking a reader as well as the media for voicing their opinion that you obvious took an offense to since it was glorifying the "Bishop Eddie Long" and his followers.You obviously have so what of an opinion of your own.Now back to the issue at hand and of course, your opinion. These three young men apparently thought they knew "Bishop Eddie Long" personally until they were able to witness who they believe the "Bishop Eddie Long " to really be based on personal encounters of which they allegedly experienced.Who better to hear from.So how about the entire congregation give the media and politicians that are not followers a chance to be heard and not asked to shut their face.

Sorry I'm not a fan of " Fast Eddie " !!! Also I care very little for any of the Mega Church Leaders across America.

If all of these Mega Churches in DeKalb County were supporting their local neighborhoods instead of robbing their local neighborhoods blind to support the Lavish Lifestyles of their Holy Men, DeKalbs Neighborhoods might be better off !

I know of no county worse than DeKalb for these Pandering Preachers. Just look at all the sidewalk improvements around the Big Church on Candler Road near Memorial Dr. Wonder who goes to church there ?

As to the congregations that buy these Gran Diose Bishops Million Dollar Homes, Bentleys and Air Planes ~ Good Luck with your Heavenly Quest !

You might sit your tambourine down and go out and help the less fortunate yourself. !

Just like the Elected Officials in DeKalb County these False Prophets take care of themselves first !

I ran for political office and refused to pay homage to him to get elected. At least I have my dignity intact rather than the politicians who sold out.

Man you really need to cool out with all of that cause that is wrong how can you judge a person without knowing them personally not publicly as far as the television and news cast. So how about you do the entire congregation a favor and shut your face because God is not to be toyed with nor his people and lying and making false comments and etc. is not called for
