UPDATE: Missing Dunwoody teenager returns home

The Dunwoody teenager who was reported missing on July 22 has returned to her home, Dunwoody Police spokesman Sgt. Mike Carlson said on July 26.

Catherine "Cathy" Hoyos, 15, was reported missing after she was dropped off at Peachtree Middle School for track practice. She was found in Mexico City the next day and since has returned to Georgia. There is no reason to suspect foul play, Carlson said.

The case still is under investigation. Anyone who has information regarding the case is asked to contact Det. Andrew Thompson with the Dunwoody Police Dept. at (678) 382-6921.
 

 


The Dunwoody Police Department is trying to locate a missing teenage girl who was last seen at 7 a.m. on July 22.

Catherine Hoyos, 15, was dropped off at Peachtree Middle School, 4464 N. Peachtree Road in Dunwoody for track practice and was last seen walking on school grounds towards Barclay Drive, according to police. “Cathy” is 5-foot-3 and approximately 125 pounds and was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, black cotton shorts and white tennis shoes. She has brown eyes and dark brown hair.
