General election early voting begins Oct. 15

The cutoff date to register or change addresses to be eligible to vote in the Nov. 6 general election is Tuesday, Oct. 9. 

Applications can be accessed online at www.dekalbvotes.com, the Voter Registration and Elections Office located at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, or any DeKalb County library.

Applications must be postmarked or received in the Voter Registration & Elections Office by the deadline. 

Voters who wish to vote absentee by mail may submit their requests through Nov. 2. Application forms are available online at www.dekalbvotes.com and must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. Nov. 2 to be processed.  Ballots must be returned to the Voter Registration & Elections Office no later than 7 p.m. Nov. 6 to be counted.

In person early voting for the general election will begin Oct. 15 at the Voter Registration & Elections Office, 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, Decatur; Community Achievement Center, 4522 Flat Shoals Parkway, Decatur; and Tucker Recreation Center, 4898 LaVista Road, Tucker. These polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. through Nov. 2, including two Saturdays, Oct. 20 and 27. 

In addition, the polls will be open Oct. 29-Nov. 2 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at the Clark Harrison Building, 330 W. Ponce de Leon Ave., Room A, Decatur; Chamblee Civic Center, 3540 Broad Street, Chamblee; and Berean Christian Church Community Center, 2440 Young Road, Stone Mountain.
