One day after he resigned as president of Georgia Perimeter College, Anthony Tricoli applied for the job of president at a college in Florida, according to the Naples Daily News.
Tricoli was one of eight new candidates who applied just before the deadline for the top job at Edison College in Fort Myers, Fla. There are a total of 39 applicants for the position, according to the paper.
University System of Georgia chancellor Hank Huckaby announced that Tricoli, who had been president at GPC since 2007, stepped down after the discovery of a $16 million shortfall in the current fiscal year budget. Tricoli was moved to a job in the university system’s central office.
