Dunwoody Police participates in victims’ rights program
The Dunwoody Police Department will participate in the National Crime Victims’ Rights Week April 22 – 28. The police department’s goal is to “reach every victim” in the community and to successfully promote awareness of victims’ rights and services that are offered to them, such as the Georgia Crime Victims Compensation Fund. This program, administered by the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, will assist victims by easing the monetary impact after a crime has occurred. Dunwoody Police participates in the VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) program, which allows victims to receive notifications about their offender’s custody status by telephone or e-mail.
