9 DeKalb schools on GDOE’s list of low-performing schools
The Georgia Department of Education released its list of low-performing schools on March 14, and it includes nine DeKalb County School District school.
A total of 78 schools were listed as “Priority” schools, because of low graduation rates or poor achievement on statewide assessments.
The low-performing schools in DeKalb County are:
-DeKalb County DeKalb Transition School
-DeKalb County DeKalb Alternative School
-DeKalb County Elizabeth Andrews High School
-DeKalb County International Student Center
-DeKalb County Indian Creek Elementary School
-DeKalb County Toney Elementary School
-DeKalb County McNair High School
-DeKalb County Clarkston High School
-DeKalb County Towers High School
Clarkston mayor’s town hall meeting
City of Clarkston Mayor Emmanuel Ransom will hold a town hall meeting this weekend.
The meeting will be held on Saturday, March 17, 10 a.m.-noon at the Clarkston Women’s Club at 3913 Church Street in Clarkston.
