DeKalb County School System spokesperson Walter Woods announced Dec. 14 that all marching band activities are suspended until further notice. Senior staff will conduct a full scale investigation of possible inappropriate activities among high school band members, alumni advisors, band directors and others involved with DeKalb Schools high school marching bands.
The investigation, headed by Deputy Superintendent Kendra March, is meant to determine the scale and nature of any inappropriate activities and what actions need to be taken at the school level to ensure the safety of students.
